The Dutchman “Dutch”

$2,500 obo

14yo 17.3 hand Percheron/TB.

The Dutchman, “Dutch” is a 14-year-old 17.3-hand Percheron/TB. Dutch has foxhunted first flight for several seasons with De La Brooke Foxhounds with a junior, evented up to BN, and has gone to Pony Club Championships. Dutch is extremely sweet and willing, and loves people. He’ll jump anything you point him towards with a confident rider he trusts. Will trail ride alone or in a group. Although Dutch had been ridden by a junior, he requires an experienced, patient rider. He is not for a beginner rider or timid amateur. Dutch has kissing spine and needs maintenance (injections, proper saddle fit) to remain comfortable in work. He also has a bone cyst that is managed with injections and shoeing. He has mostly been off for the past few years (with the exception of a few hunts) since his rider went off to college and the time has come to find him his next home. Ideally, we would love to find a first or second flight foxhunting home for him. Self-loads, clips, ties, up-to-date on vaccines/coggins. Priced very reasonably (low 4s)- more concerned with finding the right fit in a long-term home for him.

Willy Wonka “Willy”

Free to a good home only: Pasture Pet or Rehab Project

2013 OTTB Gelding

JC: Wheres Willy

Willy Wonka “Willy” is a dark bay 12-year-old, 16.2-hand OTTB gelding. Willy is an easy-going, in-your-pocket personality that knows his job and aims to please. Willy has successfully evented up to novice, but most recently spent time showing his junior rider the ropes at beginner novice. Willy is always in the ribbons and has never placed below 3rd since we’ve had him. Willy is uncomplicated on the flat, hacks out alone or with company, and will jump anything you point him at, including ditches, banks, and water. He has also been hacked bareback and gone swimming. We purchased Willy in May of 2024, where he took his junior rider to Pony Club champs in Kentucky for BN eventing. Willy scored a 26.2 on the flat and jumped double clear, ending the week in 3rd place.

Unfortunately, Willy suffered an injury to his DDFT in August of 2024 and has been turned out since then. Willy could be a pasture pet, or if someone wanted to pursue further diagnostics and the proper rehab to get him sound, Willy could potentially return to eventing and teach someone else the ropes. I also think he could do straight dressage, hunters, jumpers, or even foxhunt with a junior or amateur. Loads, clips, ties, and stands for vet and farrier. Easy keeper, and UTD on shots and coggins. Currently wearing front shoes. Happy to share all vet records with serious parties. Finding him a good home is very important.
